Delridge Daycare supports parents in limiting screen time by providing screen-free child care. Limiting screen time can help children improve social and motor skills, explore their interests, and develop critical thinking and creativity. We offer a range of activities appropriate for mixed age groups, as well as individualized care focused on helping our students achieve their developmental milestones and school readiness.
We follow a flexible curriculum that allows students to explore their interests. Our curriculum is focused on three key areas: character, environment and culture. We create fun activities that encourage the development of language skill and problem solving.
Each month we focus on one character trait, reading stories that exemplify those traits, and having age-appropriate discussions. Teaching children about character will help them become more confident and empathetic.
Each month we also focus on one ecosystem, introducing students to where these ecosystems exist, and the plants and animals that live there. By getting our students excited about the environment, we hope to encourage tomorrow's stewards.
For every ecosystem we learn about, we also learn about some of the cultures that developed in the month's ecosystem. By listening to music from around the world, hearing folk stories, and learning about different traditions, we aim to teach our students to embrace diversity, and become global citizens.
